Indiana Fever Star Delivers Strong Words on Caitlin Clark’s Injury

Entering the 2025 WNBA season, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever were expected to be one of the top contenders to win a championship.

Unfortunately, the season has not turned out that way. Due to Clark’s multiple injury issues and the team being riddle with injuries outside of hers, the Fever are simply fighting to get into the WNBA Playoffs.

At this point in the year, Indiana holds a 21-18 record. That has them placed at No. 6 in the WNBA standings.

With just five games remaining in the regular season, there is still no word about when Clark could return. She has been unable to play since July 15 due to a groin injury.

While the Fever continue to wait for Clark’s return, one of her teammates has spoken out with honest words about the superstar guard.

Lexie Hull did an exclusive interview with Mark Medina of SportsKeeda. In that interview, she shared her thoughts on Clark and had some very nice things to say.

“I’ve been impressed with her maturity through it. It’s not easy to go day-to-day and continue to think, ‘Maybe this is my day, maybe it’s not,'” Hull said. “But she continues to come in and be the person that she is. She’s funny and a jokester. She brings energy and a light to situations that could be really dark. So I think, more than anything, I’m just proud of her and her resiliency throughout this year. Hopefully we’ll see her back out there.”

Of course, Hull and Clark have become very close friends over the last couple of years. Both players have been crucial to helping Indiana turn into a contender.

Clark has only been able to play in 13 games all season. Even she has been on the court, injuries have clearly bothered her and hampered her ability to produce numbers.

She has averaged 16.5 points per game to go along with 8.8 assists, five rebounds, and 1.6 steals. In addition, Clark has shot just 36.7 percent from the floor and 27.9 percent from the three-point line.

Hopefully, Clark is able to return this season. Indiana is still very much in the playoff picture. If Clark is able to get back on the court, the Fever could still make some noise come postseason time.
