NASCAR‘s Denny Hamlin has been facing audio problems with FOX’s broadcast, which prompted him to ask fans if they were facing a similar glitch. Hamlin admitted that there was no audio coming out of the left speaker every time he watched the broadcast on his bus or at his home.
Hamlin won the Goodyear 400 at Darlington on Sunday, which marked his second victory of the 2025 season. The 23XI Racing co-owner capitalized on the caution flag in the last leg of the race, and with the full support of his crew, lined up on the front row for the overtime restart, becoming the first one to cross the finish line.
Highlighting the audio problem, Hamlin said on the Actions Detrimental podcast:
“Is FOX’s audio f*cked up for anyone else? Like, I notice in my living room and in my bus, I have multiple speakers. I have a TV and then I have speakers, a left and a right. But the audio during our races only comes out of our right speaker. It’s like it’s on analog. I don’t know. I’ve noticed it for a few weeks that they’ve got something going on with their audio that is just not like all other audio coming through FOX or any other station for that matter. I don’t know what’s going on.”

While Hamlin’s criticism of the audio could attract attention, his 23XI partner and basketball star Michael Jordan had a warning for Hamlin’s rivals. He stated that any criticism aimed at Hamlin would only make him stronger. Surprisingly, Jordan also predicted Hamlin’s victory ahead of the Darlington Cup race. Newsweek Sports reported:
“He is a clown, but that’s him. That’s Denny. He’s a very confident driver. He’s a very confident person. His competitive juice is no different than mine. I mean, I love that. I want him to win a championship so badly because I think he’s earned that. Because of what he’s done for the sport for so long. He’s gonna grind it out; that’s just the way Denny is.
“If you boo him, that makes him better. If you boo me, that makes me better. I mean, that’s just the nature of a good competitor. So, I’m very happy for his win last week. Don’t be surprised if he [wins] today.”
NASCAR heads to Bristol Motor Speedway next weekend. Could Hamlin make it three wins in a row at the Food City 500? There is a strong possibility he could.
