Travel Warnings Issued In 3 States As 2 Feet of Snow To Hit

Travelers in parts of Montana, Idaho and Wyoming have been warned about dangerous road conditions as a storm system is forecast to bring up to two feet of snow.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued winter storm warnings and advisories for parts of the three states until Monday evening.

Why It Matters

The snow storm could down trees and snap power lines, resulting in sporadic power outages.

The NWS also warned that travel could become very difficult, and that wet snow will create slushy road conditions in some areas.

According to the NWS, a winter storm warning means there is at least an 80 percent chance of “impactful” winter weather during the warning period.
