Woman Plans To Get Uber Home From Airport, Then She Sees Who’s Waiting

A Utah mom returning from a trip to Europe had an emotional reaction to seeing her husband and baby waiting for her at baggage claim.

Danielle Estrada was meant to be getting an Uber home as it was past her daughter’s bedtime, but, instead, her husband surprised her at the airport, holding baby Quinn in his arms.

Estrada told Newsweek how much she missed her family while she was in Lake Como, Italy, for four days.

“I had cried a few times while I was away just missing both of them,” the 29-year-old said. “It’s really hard leaving her while she’s still so little, so I was so excited to come home.”

The new mom said in her caption that her husband, Spencer, knew how upset she was that she would have to wait until the morning to see their daughter, so he decided to surprise her at the airport, complete with a sign and some flowers.

“How did I get so lucky with this life,” Estrada wrote in the caption.

Her immediate reaction to seeing her family was emotional. “It made me so emotional knowing that Spencer knew how much I needed that surprise,” she told Newsweek.

“Some of my tears were also just me being emotional over how thoughtful he is, and then, of course, being able to see Quinn—I was so excited to finally hug her,” Estrada said.

In the clip posted by Estrada (@danielllestrada), she hugs her baby tightly and holds up her sign that reads: “Welcome home Mommy.”

Since it was posted earlier this month, the emotional reunion has been viewed almost 5 million times, melting the hearts all over the internet.

“The simplicity of meeting a loved one at baggage claim is such a lost art,” one user wrote.

Another posted that they were “ugly sobbing” and so happy for the couple, whom they didn’t know.

Others were also impressed with Spencer’s efforts in dressing his baby in a pink onesie and adorable headband. Estrada called him the “best girl dad” in the comments.

“Being a mom has been better than I could have ever imagined,” Estrada said. “It makes me excited every single morning to see her and fills my life with so much purpose and happiness.”
