A 20-month-old boy from Spain has melted hearts online for the unique way he sits in his stroller.

In a clip on TikTok posted on the account @myathefoxy, little Leo rides in his stroller with his legs spread wide open. The on-screen caption reads, “Why does he ride with his legs wide open?” before footage shows the likely reason—to make space for his best friend, Mya the Shiba Inu who sits on the storage basket beneath him.

This seating arrangement started when Leo was born, his mom Ester Pla told Newsweek.

“Mya can be a bit lazy at times especially after our long walks at the park and she also gets scared easily with loud noises,” she said. “That little space under the stroller is where she feels safe.”

Pla explained that she has always encouraged Leo to be gentle and caring with Mya, so he instinctively began sitting with his legs open, as if he already knew that spot was meant for her.

But Mya doesn’t always ride in the stroller and prefers to be in the comfort of Leo’s arms instead. “He loves to cuddle her close while we stroll around the city together, melting our hearts every single time,” Pla said.

Mya joined the family shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic, fulfilling a long-held dream of having a dog.

The pandemic proved a wake-up call for Pla, who realized that life was too short to keep postponing this dream.

“The moment I met Mya it was love at first sight,” she said. “She became my little girl and we became a family.”

From that moment on, Mya has been by Pla’s side through every milestone – launching their dog accessory brand Foxys, pregnancy, and now motherhood.

When she was pregnant, Mya became even more affectionate, curling up next to her owner. As soon as Pla brought Leo home, Mya was there for every diaper change and feed, watching over him.

“Now they nap together, play together, and go on all our daily walks side by side,” Pla told Newsweek. “She even cuddles with him when she is scared. They love each other so much and watching them grow up together is a dream come true.”

Pla’s clip has been viewed over 317,000 times, and users can’t get enough of the sibling bond between the two.

“Cutest boy, cutest fox,” one user wrote, while another called it “green flag behavior.”

Pla told Newsweek that both Leo and Mya are the loves of her life. “Having Leo grow up with Mya has been one of the greatest gifts,” she said. “Watching their relationship grow is something truly special and we feel so lucky to witness it every day.”
