Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said she is neither intimidated nor deterred by protestors who disrupted her town hall event on Tuesday evening, some of whom were tasered by police as they were removed from the event.
“There’s no reason for screaming, yelling, ridiculous outrageous protesting. That disrupts the event for every single person that is there,” Greene told reporters after the town hall, adding they should “handle their business in the voting booth”.
Greene said “one of the most important things I do is offer constituent services” and that is what she had wanted to talk about and promote at the town hall.
“I have the most death threats in Congress. And at times, I have more death threats than even Speaker Johnson. And it shouldn’t be that way,” Greene said.
“We just saw Governor Shapiro’s mansion attacked with arson. It shouldn’t be this way for any elected leader, no matter what the political party they represent.”
This is a developing story and more information will be added shortly.
