The field at Augusta National has one less player for the 2025 Masters Tournament, as Vijay Singh withdrew from the event on Monday.

He cited an injury, and it will be the first time the former Masters champion will not play since his debut in 1994, per a PGA Tour report.

No details on Singh’s injury were released from The Masters.

This past weekend, he finished tied for 18th at the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational. Singh finished 12 shots behind 2009 Masters champion Angel Cabrera, who won his first PGA Tour Champions event.

It was set to be his 32nd start in the Masters, and this year also marks the 25th anniversary of his 2000 Masters victory.

That week, he outlasted a stout field that included Tiger Woods, David Duval, and Ernie Els. Singh beat Els by three shots.

The 62-year-old has had great success at Augusta National throughout his career. From 2000 to 2006, he finished inside the top eight in six of seven starts.

Last year, though, the Florida resident made the cut and finished T54 at 14-over. It was the first time in six years that Singh played all four rounds at Augusta National.

In his 31 starts, Singh made 20 cuts and had 33 rounds under par. His scoring average at Augusta National is 73.38, and his lowest round was a 65 in Round 2 of the 2002 Masters. Singh went on to finish solo seventh that year.

The five-time winner on PGA Tour Champions racked up 34 career wins on the PGA Tour. That ranks 14th all-time.

The veteran golfer also has two PGA Championships in his career.

Singh will not be replaced in the field this week. There will be 95 players in total competing. This field is the largest since 2015, when there were 97 players.
