The Tennessee Titans have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and the belief is they were planning on taking Cam Ward with that pick. However, a major update on Shedeur Sanders might change everything.
After yesterday’s Colorado Pro Day, @Titans brass met with Shedeur Sanders’ camp and the parties have agreed to cancel the upcoming private workout.
The Titans have seen 4 years of game film, scouted multiple games, and now attended a Pro Day they described as very impressive.

According to Jim Wyatt, the Titans have called off their private workout with Sanders, which was scheduled for April 9. Following the performance from the Colorado Buffaloes product’s Pro Day, he might be a lock for the first overall pick.
The Titans need a franchise quarterback, and it appears that they might be set on taking Sanders following the meetings they had with him and the film, games, and Pro Day performances could have swayed them completely.

Now, teams often release information for the public to see to throw off the other 31 teams, but this update is rather significant. For months, there have been plenty of pundits and analysts going back and forth between Ward and Sanders being the quarterback to draft.
Sanders had a wonderful Pro Day performance with the Buffaloes, lobbing the ball downfield with ease to Travis Hunter and his fellow Colorado teammates. Despite the intermediate passes looking somewhat troublesome, his accuracy was on full display.
It has long been known that Sanders is an accurate passer, and his 74 completion percentage led the entire FBS in 2024. His overall 71.8 completion percentage is also an FBS record.
Granted, Sanders was not under duress during his Pro Day, so no team can’t know exactly how he will react at the pro level, but that doesn’t mean his skills with the ball will not translate to the NFL level. Simply put, Sanders is a top prospect for a reason.
