A pair of corgis from Los Angeles were caught on camera fighting over who gets to sniff the groceries that their owner just brought home from the shops. The hilarious video immediately went viral, leaving internet users in stitches.
The two siblings, Bowser and Bella, can be seen growling at each other as they try to sniff any possible food items in their owner’s grocery bags, showing teeth as if ready to attack one another.
“Maximum pettiness = fighting over who gets to sniff the groceries,” the poster says in the TikTok video, shared on Friday under username @bowserandbella. She adds in the caption: “There aren’t even treats in there.”
All dogs are big foodies, and nothing makes them happier than sharing a bite of your meal, or snack. But some of the foods that we regularly eat without problems can be dangerous, even fatal, for our pups.
Newsweek previously shared a list of foods that your dog should never get their paws on, including chocolate—well-known for being dogs’ enemy number one—grapes and raisins, garlic, onions and leeks.
Even some fruits and vegetables can be very toxic to our fur babies, including apples (because of their seeds), cherries, peaches and citrus fruits. Avocados, mushrooms, tomatoes, yeast and dairy are also a no-go.
Human medicines, alcohol and caffeinated drinks, as well as salty foods are also extremely toxic and can potentially turn fatal.
Meat and eggs can also be dangerous to your pup if raw or undercooked. That’s because these products often harbor bacteria like salmonella, E. coli and listeria, which can make your dog very sick.
If you suspect your pup has eaten harmful foods, note the amount ingested and immediately contact your veterinarian or the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) Animal Poison Control Center at 1-888-426-4435.
The video quickly went viral on social media and has received over 2.6 million views and 439,000 likes on the platform.
