It’s a stacked month on Shudder as the horror-themed streaming service reveals its April 2025 releases.

The scares kick off on April 1 with the release of several horror classics including 13 Ghosts (1960), Fright Night (1985), Repulsion (1965), and Night of the Living Dead (1990). The same day also sees the release of a triple dose of Halloween goodness in Halloween VI: The Curse of Michael Myers, Halloween H20, and Halloween: Resurrection.

April 4 drops Shudder original 825 Forest Road. The film follows family man Chuck Wilson who moves to the sleepy town of Ashland Falls with his wife Maria and little sister Elizabeth, but gets more than he bargained for when the ghost of a woman who killed herself in the ’40s threatens their life. To ward her off and save the town, Chuck has to find the key to her home – 825 Forest Road.

Then on April 18 comes the much-hyped Dead Mail. Set in the 1980s midwest, it sees a mysterious letter land on the desk of post office worker Jasper. We follow his attempt to unravel the letter’s origins and track down whoever sent it, and in the process, become embroiled in a devious kidnapping plot.

April 2025 on Shudder concludes with Irish folk horror Fréwaka, which premiers April 25. Here, care worker Shoo moves to a remote village to care for a housebound woman who harbors a deep fear of a paranormal entity from Irish folklore. Convinced the entity abducted her years before, the woman forces Shoo to confront her own demons.
