A couple of dog lovers turned their wedding into a rescue puppy adoption event, and internet users can’t cope with the heartwarming footage.
In an Instagram post shared on Monday, a friend of the couple, 30-year-old Molli Tierney, who goes by the username @mollismutts, shared a glimpse of her friend Carly’s wedding, where rescue puppies in need of a home were the stars of the night.
“Your sign to have adoptable rescue puppies at your wedding,” reads layover text in the clip, as footage shows multiple happy guests interacting with the little pups.
“Congrats to the amazing couple! Thank you for everything you do for rescue animals and for letting these foster babies be a part of your special day,” the caption continues.
Tierney told Newsweek that she and her friend Clare, the bridesmaid, are both big dog lovers who have fostered over 75 dogs combined, and, together, they helped the bride plan her dream wedding.

The event took place on a farm in Pennsylvania, which was chosen to make sure that the couple’s three rescue dogs could be a part of the ceremony.
From the moment the couple, Carly and Kevin, started wedding planning, they knew they wanted it to feel intentional, as well as highlight something they cared about, so they decided to make their big day about the thing they love the most.
They partnered with Waldo’s Rescue Pen to include an interactive, small-scale fundraiser for the puppies in need, hosting them at their wedding in hopes to find them new homes. The wedding guests appeared more than pleased to have puppies around, and everyone got cuddles.
The wedding party also featured a refurbished gumball machine and some candy machines so guests would donate but also get a sweet treat in return.
“Carly and her new husband Kevin have fostered and rescued many animals and kindly chose to use their wedding to promote adoptable dogs and fund-raise for rescue. My husband Liam and I were invited with our three foster puppies so they could be a part of the ceremony and cocktail hour,” Tierney said.
“The flower girls held the little puppies, 12 weeks old, down the aisle, and Jack, a 6-month old-puppy, watched as a guest. Guests were able to hold and meet the puppies during the reception which they absolutely loved.”
While the pups haven’t been adopted yet, they have indeed received a lot of interest, and one application is already expected to come in soon. Meanwhile, the rescue received over $500 in donations.
Since then, Tierney and her friend Clare have started a passion project called “The Pawfect Guest” to bring adoptable dogs to events and weddings.
The video quickly went viral on social media and has so far received over 14,000 views on the platform.
One user, Kaitlinndanielle, commented: “No because I would 1000% do this.”
