At WWE Clash in Paris, fans saw CM Punk lose to Seth Rollins in the main event Fatal Fourway World Heavyweight Championship match. Jey Uso and LA Knight also competed in the bout.
It previously seemed that Punk might have the advantage after Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker were ejected from the building due to their vicious attack on Roman Reigns. Near the end, he appeared ready to potentially regain the championship.
However, a surprise showed up to help Rollins retain, as his wife, Becky Lynch, interfered, delivering a low blow on Punk. That sneaky assist prompted fans to call for the return of Punk’s wife, AJ Lee.

WWE didn’t hesitate to play things up when the event ended by discussing AJ’s potential return after retiring from wrestling.
Following his disappointing loss, CM Punk also reacted to the possibility of his wife’s return, as viewers saw him have an interesting interaction with fans.

During the post-show, the panel of Jackie Redmond, Big E, and Peter Rosenberg spoke about what they just saw in the Punk vs. Rollins match.
A video began circulating online that showed Punk as he walked slowly past fans on the ramp and stopped near one section.
In the footage, Punk takes a long look over at a sign that a fan is holding up, before asking for it, and holding it to look at it. It says, “CM Punk bring back AJ Lee.”
During the interaction, Punk visibly tilted his head and had a look on his face, seeming to suggest it isn’t a bad idea for AJ to return.
On Sunday evening, Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that WWE sources mentioned AJ Lee’s name was brought up during “numerous pitches internally of late.”
“We can’t confirm an AJ Lee return is a go, but sources in WWE said there has been more traction on it of late than in previous years,” he reported, according to The Takedown on SI.
The 38-year-old AJ Lee last appeared in WWE in 2015. The former three-time WWE Divas Champion grew immensely popular after competing on NXT in 2010 to become the company’s next breakout star.
While AJ lost to fellow contestant Kaitlyn, she still landed a contract with WWE and debuted in 2011.
During her career, she famously feuded with Paige and other superstars and participated in notable storylines involving John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Kane, and Dolph Ziggler.
Ross Sapp also indicated that there aren’t concerns from WWE about AJ Lee returning to the ring after 10 years away. However, time will tell if AJ is truly interested in getting involved with matches again or has officially closed that chapter of her life.
