Chicago Sky Send Clear Message to Angel Reese After All-Star Game

For the second straight season, Chicago Sky star forward Angel Reese was voted to the WNBA All-Star Game.

And while she didn’t have the same kind of eye-popping stats that she did in last year’s Team WNBA vs. Team USA All-Star Game format, Reese still made quite the impression, nonetheless.

In a spirited 117-109 victory over the All-Star players on the U.S. women’s national team in 2024, Reese recorded 12 points and 11 rebounds along with a steal and a block in just 18 minutes of action.

She became the first rookie ever to record a double-double in WNBA All-Star Game history.

This time around, Reese was close to logging her second straight All-Star Game double-double, totaling six points, nine rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 17 minutes of playing time for Team Collier, captained by Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier, in a 151-131 win over Team Clark, captained by Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark, who sat out of Saturday’s exhibition with a right groin injury.

The Sky official X account made it known exactly what they thought of Reese’s performance, posting a three-word message after the game.

“prada you, 5! 🩵,” the Sky wrote on X.

It marked the second straight year that Reese was on the winning side in the All-Star game.

Once the night’s festivities concluded, the Sky posted a video on their official website of Reese signing off from Indianapolis a two-time All-Star game victor.

“Mebounds, she-bounds, two-time All-Star-bound, two wins, two dubs, back-to-back — and we out,” Reese said, via the Sky’s website. “[It was] so much fun. I want to do it again — same team, same girls, again next year.”
