After decades of battling it out in the NFC East, the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles have built one of the fiercest rivalries in football. Despite the animosity between the two franchises, one star player managed to give his competitor their flowers.
Known for being a major sports town, Philadelphia fans have built a reputation for being a passionate bunch. Though sometimes their fandom reaches extreme lengths, there’s no denying that people in the city care deeply about their pro teams.
One person who has had an up-close view of Philly sports fans is CeeDee Lamb. He sees the opposite end of things though as a key piece of a major rival. Despite this, the star wide receiver still managed to praise them.

During a recent interview, Lamb was put on the spot regarding Eagles and Cowboys fans. When asked which team had the more passionate supporters, he shockingly went against his own franchise and gave the nod to Philadelphia.
“Eagles, they’re crazy,” Lamb said of Philly fans. “Our fans our deep…I don’t want to say nothing crazy, but the Eagles got it.”
Lamb began his journey with the Cowboys in 2020 when Dallas drafted him with the 17th overall selection. He nearly had a chance to wind up with the Eagles, who had the 21st pick that year. With the Oklahoma star off the board, Howie Roseman pivoted to a different receiver prospect in Jalen Reagor. He didn’t end up panning out in Philly, while Lamb has emerged as a star with the Cowboys.

Heading into the 2025 season, the Eagles and Cowboys have an opportunity to add another exciting chapter to their rivalry. Fresh off winning a championship, Jalen Hurts and company are more than equipped to go back-to-back. As for Dallas, they’ll be poised to get back in the hunt in the NFC. They have a new head coach, a healthy Dak Prescott, and notable upgrades to their offense.
If the Cowboys are going to compete this season, Lamb will be a driving force in their success. As a focal point of Dallas’ offense, they’ll need him to continue producing at a high level. Things might be a little easier for him in 2025, as defenses will also have to worry about George Pickens on the other side of the field.
