USMNT’s Tyler Adams Ruins Couch While Celebrating Knicks’ Historic Comeback

Tyler Adams and the United States men’s national team are at the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, California, preparing to capture hearts across the nation by doing the seemingly impossible at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Across the country, Adams’ childhood team gave the USMNT the blueprint.

The New York Knicks looked lifeless against the San Antonio Spurs in the first half of Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night. The Spurs held a 76-49 lead at halftime and led by as many as 29 points. Little by little, the Knicks clawed back — similar to their 22-point four-quarter comeback win over Cleveland in the Eastern Conference Finals.

With four seconds left, Knicks All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson let a 3-pointer fly. It clanked off the front of the rim, only for OG Anunoby to soar in for what would be the game-winning tip-in with 1.2 seconds on the clock. At the Ritz-Carlton, Adams lost his mind in pure jubilation at a couch’s expense.

By winning 107-106, the Knicks completed the largest comeback in NBA Finals history and took a commanding 3-1 series lead. As such, the New York Knicks are on the cusp of their first championship since 1973.

Adams developed in the New York Red Bulls academy and played for the Red Bulls in Major League Soccer before departing for RB Leipzig of the German Bundesliga in January 2019. He has been with Bournemouth in the English Premier League since August 2023.

Adams is a native New Yorker born on Valentine’s Day in 1999, the last year the Knicks appeared in the Finals before now. Back then, the Knicks lost to the Spurs in five games. Twenty-seven years later, they can close out the Spurs in five games on Saturday.
