Spurs Legend Sends Clear Message After Historic Knicks Comeback

The New York Knicks capped off the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history to take a stranglehold on their series against the San Antonio Spurs.

New York trailed by 29 points during the contest after allowing the Spurs to hit an NBA record 14 3-pointers in the first half. The Knicks, however, clawed their way back throughout the second half and, thanks to a few mental errors from several Spurs players, eventually won the game 107-106 on a last-second tip-in from OG Anunoby.

Following the disastrous collapse, Spurs legend Manu Ginobili took to social media with a message for the team.

“0-0!! #GoSpursGo,” he said in a post on social media late Wednesday night. His message came at halftime, when the Spurs held a 27-point lead and reminded the team not to take their foot off the gas pedal.

But that’s exactly what they did. San Antonio scored just 30 second-half points en route to the Game 4 loss – one that left Ginobili speechless.

“I cannot believe what just happened! Unreal! Extremely tough loss. Now time to lick wounds and try again. No alternatives,” he said after the game.

San Antonio has held double-digit leads in each of the first four games of the series, but has won just one game – a four-point win in Game 3.
