The last time Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson saw Myles Garrett, Garrett sacked him four times on Nov. 16, 2025. The Ravens outlasted Garrett’s Cleveland Browns, 23-16, but Garrett ensured Jackson did not enjoy the win.
Garrett broke the NFL‘s all-time single-season sack record with 23 sacks last season and won his second AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year award. Jackson was on the other end of 5.5 of Garrett’s 23 sacks.
Nobody was happier than Jackson and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow when the Browns traded Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for star pass rusher Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round draft pick, a 2028 second-round pick, and a 2029 third-round pick last week.

At the Ravens’ mandatory minicamp Wednesday, Jackson was asked about his initial reaction to Garrett exiting the AFC North. “I was like, ‘Yes!'” Jackson said, . “But then we got the other guy from the Rams, [Verse]. He’s good, too. Shouts out to him. Shouts out to Myles. Congratulations on that. But yes! That’s awesome!”
Nobody is Myles Garrett, but Verse has been a quarterback’s worst nightmare in his own right in his two seasons since the Rams selected him in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He won the 2024 AP NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award, and he’s a two-time Pro Bowler.
The Browns drafted Garrett with the No. 1 overall pick in 2017. He departs Cleveland with 125.5 career sacks, the most in franchise history, and arrived is Los Angeles with an opportunity to win his first Super Bowl ring.
