Taylor Swift is in the news for so much right now, from her wedding to Travis Kelce to her new song of “Toy Story 5.” On social media, she gushed over the contribution, saying that she’d been “a Toy Story kid from the age of 5 til now.”
Swift was so excited to be involved that she was at the movie’s premiere on Tuesday, June 9, and she even brought along her original VHS tape of the movie with her. That’s a very Swift thing to do.
She even asked “Toy Story” star and longstanding actor Tom Hanks to autograph the VHS for her. He was happy to do it. In an interview with USA Today, he said, “I told her she should have brought in the VHS machine so that we could have signed it, ’cause that could go into the Smithsonian Institute as well.”

In a different interview, Hanks told Variety that he didn’t even know Swift had a song in the film until the very end of the run. “They ushered us into a soundproof room and said, ‘Tonight, at 9 p.m., the true end titles song is going to drop and it’s by Taylor Swift,” he said.
“And I said, ‘You guys kept this from us all this time?’ We saw the movie and it did not — we had some dummy [song] in there, so they surprised us as well,” he added.

Hanks also said that it’s “like saying, ‘By the way, Judy Garland is singing “Over the Rainbow” at the beginning of this’ — that kind of thing.” That’s quite a comparison.
“Toy Story 5” reaches theaters on June 19. The buzz and anticipation couldn’t be higher.
